Kate writes universal stories about love, shame, and redemption with humor and a whole lot of heart. She draws on her Irish Catholic guilt and peasant roots to explore characters straddling disparate worlds and learning to embrace their inherent contradictions. We are all sinners and saints, or better yet, maybe it doesn’t have to be that binary.
She studied cultural anthropology, business, and sports marketing at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore before transferring to the University of California, Irvine to study medical anthropology and law and policy. She currently works as a creative consultant for Guilty Party Films.
Her rom-com “Irish Goodbye” was a Quarter-Finalist at The 2024 PAGE International Screenwriting Awards. Her pilots “LOOTERS” and “Sweet, Sweet Fantasy” were both Second Rounders at the Austin Film Festival 2022.
When she’s not writing, you can catch her cheering on her precious Lakers and Dodgers.
